Team management
Build a squad that lasts
A squad in Manager11 is more than eleven names. Players get tired, get injured, get suspended, improve with training and age out of their best years. Running a club well means planning a season ahead: who plays this gameday, who rests, and who comes up from the academy next.
In the game today
- Youth intake every season
- Training and coaching staff
- Fitness, stamina and rotation
- Injuries and suspensions
- National team call-ups
- A director of football
Youth academy
Your academy produces new prospects every season. Promote the best into the first team before the season ends, or they will eventually leave for nothing. A prospect you develop yourself costs no transfer fee and can become the core of the side.
Training and coaches
Training develops the players you keep, and the coaches you hire make it count for more. Young players improve fastest, so the squad you build today is better next season if you train it well.
Fitness, injuries and suspensions
Fitness falls with every match and recovers between gamedays. With a gameday every hour, rotation matters. Injured players go to the medical room and suspended players miss matches, so a thin squad gets found out over a long season.
Internationals
Good players get called up by their national teams for international matches. It is a sign your squad is doing well, and a reason to keep cover in every position.
Questions and answers
- How often do youth players arrive?
- Every season. A season takes 61 hours of real time, so new prospects arrive every few days.
- Do players get tired?
- Yes. Fitness drops with each match and recovers between gamedays, and each player's stamina decides how fast he tires during a match.
- Can I manage a national team too?
- Yes. As your reputation grows you can apply to manage one of 119 national teams in their own international competition.
